To love another human being is to see the face of God.

Welcome! Thank you for your interest in St John’s Church, the Parish of Horton in Wolfville, Nova Scotia.
This website has been developed for you, the potential next rector of our parish. It is designed to complement the materials forwarded by the Diocese of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island to provide you with a little more insight and flavour of the parish, its people and the community of Wolfville and beyond. The information has been spread out over the following pages of information: Structure - This includes both the physical structure of the St John’s Church, as well as the organisational structure of its leadership and committees. Community - St. John’s is a thriving community that is dedicated to the mutual support and care of one another, as well as looking outward to the community near and far to offer our financial and personal assistance. Our community comprises young families, retirees, university students and professionals, any of whom may have arrived in the last few years or been here for generations. Neighbourhood - Wolfville and Annapolis Valley offer the very best in town living with excellent education facilities, as well as plenty of recreational activities from the arts and sports, to family activities and breath-taking natural beauty. There’s something here for everyone! Who we're seeking - Here you will find what we believe we are doing well, and where we think we can improve. We have also provided a list of ideal attributes that we are looking for in our next parish priest. We hope that through this website you will be able to learn a bit more about our parish home, and want to call it your home too.
